You can get ASCII files directly according to their site, no
need to use sierra, see:

To get ASCII format open the SCMagicClient.ini by
clicking (it is in the folder where the SCMagicClient.exe is) and change this
Fileformat=Sierrachart ;Fileformat=AmiBroker

Subject: Re: [amibroker] SCMagic and
sub-minute charts
Hi David,
Their 2 sec data is in SierraChart format
which you can't import directly into Amibroker (which I found out after I
bought the data...)
HOWEVER, there is a workaround. If you really
want the data, you can get a free trial copy of SierraChart. What I did
was import the 2 sec data into the eval copy of SierraChart and then export it
to ASCII. I then imported this ASCII data into Amibroker.

I have a couple of questions
about using SCMagic data (
http://www.scmagic.org/English/Index.htm) with
AmiBroker:
-
Is it possible to import SCMagic's TickData into
AB Pro (which they claim is 2-sec snapshots of IB data)?
-
Is it possible to specify sub-minute, time based
charts in AB Pro (e.g. a 20 sec chart)?
I use their 1-minute data
without any problems, but I wasn't sure if their TickData (2-sec) could be
used.
Thanks,
David
