      Hi Graham,
                       i've put together a volatility breakout system that i'm having fun with back testing,,,it buys at a calculation above the bar,,,used buyprice=calculation.It sells using sell=barssince(buy)== number of days

         what i'd like to do next is apply a fixed stop below the buy bar incase of a reversal,,,and i'd like to nominate a calculation for that stop price.

      the stop isn't a fixed percentage or a trailing stop but a calculation that is the inverse of the buy calculation ,,,the buy side works so i know i've got my calculation written correctly,,,which in its self was a learning curve learning the B.E.D.M.A.S

      i read up on applystop and thought i could use that function,,,so i'm after a stop by calculation that's fixed ie doesn't trail or move and is defined by my calculation,,,,and is exit on stop.

      this is where i got to
        applystop(type,mode,amount,exitatstop,volatile,reentrydelay)

      type=0 //maxstoploss
      mode ,,,??
      amount,,,??? somehow i need to introduce the calculation here i think ???
      exitatstop=1 ,,,,true exit on stop price
      volatile=false
      reentrydelay=0

      over
      Paul

        more detail required, by me at least, as I am not sure what conditions you require for the stop to be used
