"From programmer point of view such thing is complete nonsense."

"Cases when Windows does not operate correctly are user-side problems, not mine/ nor AB."

However, from a user friendly viewpoint, identifying known problems for users makes a lot of sense, imo.

From programmer point of view such thing is complete nonsense.

I know one thing for sure that right mouse button handling is 100% correct in AB and it works 100% correct
if only your Windows works correctly.
What AmiBroker does is to catch WM_RBUTTONDOWN and display the menu.
  Learn more about it here:

  http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/winui/winui/windowsuserinterface/userinput/mouseinput/mouseinputreference/mouseinputmessages/wm_rbuttondown.asp?frame=true

It works 100% correctly ALWAYS, if only Windows operates correctly.

There is only one control path and it does NOT depend on anything, specifically does not depend
on whenever you restarted program or not.

Cases when Windows does not operate correctly are user-side problems, not mine/ nor AB.

Following thinking presented in your suggestion I would need to provide tens of different "cautionary notes" for cases when user
has broken hard disk, mouse, keyboard, "memory turbo" programs etc / etc.

By they way: logitech drivers were reported by one user in the past as causing all kind of weird problems.

"Cautionary note about what? About something that I can not reproduce on ANY of my 5 testing machines ????"

A cautionary note that if right click does not work then use double click. The fact that you do not have a problem obviously does not reflect others experience and might be due to use of machines without much 3rd party software that users tend to collect and that you cannot reproduce. If you are right and the problem is due to conflicts between software then that will undoubtedly continue to be the case because users will always be using other programs. A cautionary note would acknowledge this reality.

      Bill,

However, a cautionary note in the Users Guide would make sense so that future users do not "bang" their heads against the wall.

Cautionary note about what? About something that I can not reproduce on ANY of my 5 testing machines ????
Right-click works perfect for me each time and every time, on every machine, on Windows 95, 98, Millenium, XP and Vista. Regardless of restarting program, settings, clicking there and here and doing every other imaginable thing.

        Tomasz:

My settings are OK. As for mouse and anti-virus, they are Logitech and AVG. Of course, like all computers other 3rd party programs are installed and conflicts could exist although the activation problem you noted is not present.

Most people might use double click and so do not run into Amon's right click problem. However, a cautionary note in the Users Guide would make sense so that future users do not "bang" their heads against the wall.

          Bill,

Yes I did that exactly in that order and it works everytime perfectly. Zillions of times I checked.
It works for me using ANY setting combination which I tried.

Existing program has completely no influence on operation, unless your Windows behaves
strangely and does not activate application that is just started so you need to click once to activate it
(that would indicate serious problem with your Windows). Probable culprits are
3rd party mouse drivers, poorly-written anti-virus software that steal focus from apps, etc, etc.

But to avoid "weird settings", you should make sure to have your settings stay
          at DEFAULT values which are:

            TJ or anyone:

When testing "zillions" of time, did you try to add the Gann/Fibonacci studies, exit the program, restart the program and then try to change the properties in exactly that order? Or did you just try to change the properties without exiting first?. For me, this sequence always results in an inability to change the properties after restarting the program.

Can you confirm that the sequence of adding the study, and then exiting and restarting the program permits the study's properties to be modified and properly displayed at that point without redrawing? Looking at the messages in the thread, the "no problem" responses did not indicate that Amon's sequence, including the critical step of exiting the program before attempting to modify properties, was followed and may not have been used.

Amon's procedure works for me and I'm not aware of weird settings, non-standard drivers, etc. Maybe Amon knows of something strange on his computer.

As I wrote already and others on the list confirmed - it works fine.
This has been tested zillions of times here and worked everytime OK, so we can not confirm any problem in this area.

Maybe you have some weird settings or mouse driver that is non standard (non Microsoft) or something else that
disturbes normal operation of Windows. Anyway, I don't see any problem in AB. Case closed.

                Bill,
The second problem not apear so often, but time to time. I dindn't found a rule in this case.
But another case when properties are locked, as you say, is when I plot Gann Fan (or Fibonacci Retracement) and make double click on the char for a few time before try to edit this tool.

"Look, plot Gann Fan and Fiboancci Retracement on a chart. Close Amibroker and then reopen it. Now, try to change some colors or delete some levels and click Ok. See, nothing is change!!!" ---- I agree, get the same result. The key is closing the chart first. The charting tools work properly until the chart is closed. After they are closed, properties are locked. However, if the charting study is deleted and redrawn then the changes appear. So the program remembers the changes but does not implement them until the charting study is redrawn.

"The other problem is: sometimes mouse not change his pointer when I move it above Gann Fan or Fibonacci Retracement. " --- I cannot duplicate this problem. Works OK for me. Perhaps I don't understand what you are doing.

That it's just one problem (old problem).
The other problem is: sometimes mouse not change his pointer when I move it above Gann Fan or Fibonacci Retracement. How can I move or edit tools in this case? I found just one solution: to use Delete All Studies and redraw them, but so I lose all study lines.

                    Not impossible in fact easy

As with ALL the indicators as far as I can tell

Double click on the indicator on the chart

                    Properties box pops up

Go in and can change color, line values, and line looks

I know to work with them, I'm not newer. Look at this chart (attached). I plot Gann Fan and then the Resistance Line. Now, if I want to change the levels of Gann Fan (to delete some of them)... hmm, it's impossible.
