To answer my own question, your site now shows that it's the BioComp
version.
"We also use the BioComp Dakota program, which uses Particle Swarm
Optimization, to model trading systems and to provide extensive
out-of-sample testing. Dakota is published by BioComp Systems. Dakota is a
registered Trademark of BioComp Systems, Inc.
Can't imagine how I ended up at Sandia after your July post.

Howard,
I'd noted your intended use of Dakota and downloaded some info in order to
compare it to R.
I was rather surprised to see via today's refs to Trader Tips,
http://www.traders.com/Documentation/FEEDbk_docs/Archive/082006/TradersTips/
TradersTips.html
that a new TA player, Biocomp Dakota =>
http://www.biocompsystems.com/products/Dakota/
sells "their" version at up to $1995 even though Sandia's just-released
Version 4.0 is still GNU.
Were you planning to use some commercial version instead of the GNU release.
Regards,
Bob
