Hello,

The meaning of the files is described at http://www.amibroker.com/guide/x_files.html

So, if you want to copy only database settings, copy broker.workspace
if you want to copy symbol list copy broker.master as well,
if you want to copy real time quote list copy broker.watch

  Don,

I asked a similar question on 7/31/06 (http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/amibroker/message/99619) and later got a quick answer from support at amibroker.

Basically I was told to copy broker.workspace (and back it up first; its located in c:\program files\amibroker\MyNewData ) to each of the other database directories (c:\program files\amibroker\MyNewData2). Then depending on what kind of quote update system you have (amiquote, etc.), you may have to update the Database Settings (alt, f, then Database Settings) to match the original settings. In practice, i found its necessary to also copy over broker.master, broker.watch as well.

This is not an automated process, but it works. The problem is if you make changes to a secondary database sector settings and then copy the primary database settings then you lose the settings.

  Chris

I have 10 Databases in AmiBroker that I switch between in the course
of my day. These have been created over a period of several months, and
I have different Markets, Groups, Sector/Industry, and Watch List
setups in each one. I have reached a point at which I would like to
have a consistant structure in all of these Databases. Is there a way
that I can copy the above mentioned structures to ALL 10 of my
databases, rather then having to go into each one and manually change
them to match? I have looked through the user manual, but have not
found a solution to my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
