Yahoo data 101 - Appendix 1
Ron,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
The purpose of my email was, out of fairness, to give your company
the opportunity to present their position.
I think your answer does that.
It will be posted on the website in the appropriate place.
Regards,
Brian B.

Thank you for your email. I just verified that SEED history is now
available on Yahoo.
Unfortunately I do not have a complete answer to your comment. We
only supply the data to Yahoo they manipulate the data and are
responsible for there website. But this does happen when a stock
symbol is changed sometimes and Yahoo has to manually correct the
problem. So if you see this problem occur please let me know and I
will forward it to Yahoo.
Thanks again,

Subject: Yahoo historical data
Dear Sir/Ms,
I am a member of a forum that discusses stockmarket software issues.
Recently the accuracy of Yahoo historical data was questioned.
A forum member came up with the example of SEED.
The historical data for SEED was recently unavailable.
The historical data at the site was current only to early June as of
the beginning of July and attempts to download data returned
an 'unavailable' comment.
I undertook to make enquiries on behalf of the group as to the
reasons for this and what procedures your company uses to ensure
Yahoo historical data accuracy.
Regards,
Brian Burney.
