[amibroker] Truncated data?

When I reinstalled to fix my faulty upgrade to 4.8, apparently AB truncated
some of my quotes files. Most of my ticker files are about 650 KB in size,
containing 1-minute data for about 10 months and EOD data for longer
periods. AAPL, for example, had that amount of data in it before my upgrade,
but the file is now 65 KB in size and only goes back to the first day's data
after the upgrade.
 
I do have a backup of my data, pre-upgrade (the data I was using with 4.7).
Can anybody give me pointers on a fast way to import that old data, to fix
my files? I know it can be scripted, but since I have done very little
ActiveX scripting with AB, I'm hesitant to just "try things out" and risk
further corrupting my data, unknowingly.
