Do you keep all those stocks in one database? or separate databases?
 
I was wondering how you manage those files.  I assume you keep dead  symbols 
for backtesting?

14k tickers are a lot,  duude!

I've used the method described without probs but with 8k tickers  - check
the
memory requirements of Amibroker as it progesses using Task  Manager.
