[amibroker] isolating a numeric ticker range

What I'd like to do is shown in normal language between the brackets
below.  I tried using strleft() in various ways, but nothing I've
tried works.  Can anyone assist?

IIf [the first three digits of the ticker are greater than 000 but
less than 099], styleLine, styleCandle

I think I could do this with nested name() for each symbol of course,
but there must be an easier and more elegant way to accomplish this.
