I'm trying to extend my TC2000 database back in time with additional
historical data, but I can't get the merge command to work properly.
Example:
1) My TC2000 data for XAU ends at 1/17/90.
2) I have an XAU ASCII file that goes to 1/23/86.
I can import the XAU ASCII and look at the chart, but when I try to
merge it with my TC2000 database it doesn't combine the data.
Is this because my 'active link' to the TC2000 database will not
accept any older data?
I would sure like a workaround. Otherwise I would need to manually
update my historical files with the newest data when I to run a long
backtest.
