The IB feed should be close enough to tick for any type of trading I would think.  What more do you want?

For real time tick data, are there any vendors which work with AB other than Esignal?  I know IB and QT are available, but they are not real tick data.

On the AB website, some of the other vendors are not recommended because of unreliability.
