I don't believe that I have that extension loaded on my Firefox but still
have the problem.

PS I have the following extensions loaded:
Wizz RSS News reader
Forecastfox
Greasemonkey

FWIW....For anybody that was having the same problem as I. I found
that my problem was the smooth-wheel extention in Firefox.

Once, I deleted that extention, the problem was fixed.
