[amibroker] A question for this simple code with BarIndex()

in BarIndex() function help, has the following example code

ThisIsLastBar = BarIndex() == LastValue( BarIndex() ); 

my question:
1. BarIndex() return array but LastValue return a number, when array 
type can compare with number type? 
I tried it, it even works :-)
