Historical data was late (at least for most indices) for a couple of
days around the end of December, but it has finally showed up.
If you are doing a historical download, and not getting any data,
always check http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=%5EDJI (in this case for
the symbol ^DJI). If the date you are attempting to retrieve does
NOT show there, you are not going to get any historical for that
symbol on that data. But as you can see, ^DJI and apparently all
other Yahoo data has been updated through Friday now.
