Re: [amibroker] Basic Fundamental Data

Hello,

No it is not related to database but to the fact that "fundamental" data on Yahoo are mostly not
accessible via CSV file, but rather via HTML page that is filled with advertisements, scripts and Flash animations.
While it is technically possible to extract the data from such HTML page, on long run it is unreliable
because Yahoo changes their HTML pages layout quite often and such changes would need to be addressed
by the downloader each time Yahoo changes this and that.

I think the issue is related to the database.   I don’t think there is any place to put the data and unfortunately database modifications can be a big effort.

Currently, I’m working on a solution that downloads fundamental and other data from the web to text files.  Then AB reads and uses the data in the text files.  This isn’t for sale, but I’d be willing to share the code.

Regards,

Dan.

Why is it that you have not included yahoo fundamental data to AB
downloader? you already provide ability to download download pricing
data?
