RE: [amibroker] Graphics performance question

I think to display charts AB must run the AFL code in the charts again
as that code is separate from the AFL code in SCAN, EXPLORE and
BACKTEST. I believe this because any Parameters in a chart must be reset
in AA and you can have two different results showing if they are set
differently. Thus you are running the code TWICE, PLUS using CPU time to
calculate and plot all the graphs.

Maybe Tomasz can comment on this theory as a point of interest.

What I discovered that is curious to me is that the CPU usage is
involved in
displaying the charts, not running the AFLs. My CPU usage ranges from
40-70
percent max when AB is minimized -- the autotrading is working fine.
But
when I maximize AB the CPU goes immediately to 100%

In any case, I'm going to need a deskop! How would the following specs
from
Dell compare to a dual core Athlon64?

Description: Dell Dimension 5150 Series. Intel(r) Pentium(r) 4 Processor
630 w/HT Technology (3.0GHz,800FSB)

Is the the dual-core from Intel a lot faster than a P4?

Thanks!

chuck
