Hi Steve,
Over the past several weeks, I too have had posts sent by email from a
Comcast ISP delayed by many hours (6 plus) or never delivered (in
which case about 48 hours later I get a response from Mail Delivery
Subsystem that the [group] {at} yahoogroups.com address had delivery
problem and there was a Persistent Transient Failure).
I don't know what causes this as I'm pretty ignorant how email clients,
Yahoo! Groups and PostFix programs work. I've contacted Comcast and they
say the problem is with Yahoo. I've sent repeated complaints to Yahoo
(via the Help section as there is no direct tech support) and gotten replies
that started with a bot type response of "we are looking into your report and
apologize for any inconvenience...blah, blah, blah" and have gradually
gotten more responsive as I continue to complain and respond to their feed
back surveys with negative ratings. No solution, mind you, just
they now say they recognize the problem but don't know when it will be
corrected.
I have seen that others posting from Comcast ISPs and other cable ISPs
have delays as well and so I reverted back to my DSL ISP to send
posts. Interestingly, not every one with a Comcast ISP has a problem as
several others I know who post on Yahoo! Groups via Comcast have emailed me that
they are doing fine. When this first started for me, I thought I might
have caused the problem as I had just rearranged my email delivery and clients
on different computers. Then I found that others also were having
problems.
Perhaps if everyone so affected sends in a complaint, something will
actually start to get resolved. Funny how we come to rely on a technology
so completely that we take it for granted, until it gives us problems.
Peace and Justice --- Patrick

I/O bug.
OK. FYI, I sent this on Monday, resent on Tuesday when it
never came through, but now it has come through on Wednesday, 2 days
later. Jeez...makes me wish Yahoo charged for this so I could demand a
refund 8 - )
