Do a search of this board over the past 6 weeks or so with the terms database cleanup or database purify.  Or look in the help files for using those tools.  Both Steve Dugas and I have posted solutions.  I included a js script (EZ Cleanup) you can add to your tools to augment or replace the database cleanup so you don't have to continuously approve each deletion.

I am using the US-Stocks lists I found that is fed by Yahoo EOD. I use the auto download feature in TOOLS which starts AmiQuote. The data feeds into a database called US-Stocks. The list has many symbols in it that are no longer functioning and thus have no data. I am certain these symbols put some unnecessary drag on the already lengthy download time.

 

How can I automatically purge the list of symbols without data?
