Hello,
The ""force instant quote retrieval" flag in File->Database
Settings->Configure" has a check mark in it. Bringing up the Realtime Quote
and clicking on:
er2h5-globex-fut I get full day chart for 2/28,3/1 3/3/05
klac, mdt,msft, pfe, is 2/17, 2/23, then 2/28 and full day 3/3
qqqq is full day 2/17 and 2/28
ym mar and jun and es mar and jun are all up to date because those are the
only two I display.
ZB MAR 05-ecbot-fut is 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/20, 1/21
Trin-nasd-nasdaq-ind one tick per day to 1/27, then a full day of 55 tick
chart for 2/28. Nothing after. Perhaps an IB data plugin update?
Tick-nyse-nyse-ind is one tick per day 1/10,1/12,1/19,1/20,1/27 is lastday
with just one tick on a 55 tick chart.
vix-cboe-ind is one tick for 1/17,2/7,2/8,2/27 with no other days shown
In terms of yellow high-light under last field; will have to wait for
Monday. All I know is there were quotes in all fields each day on all
symbols reported above. This is under 4.60 with IB plug in 1.3.6 vendor
Amibroker.com, not certified.
Any help to get consistent data would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,o
When symbols you are using are correct, then you will see YELLOW background
in RT quote window
signalizing that updates are coming. If this is the case then IB collects
all data for
all symbols in RT quote window.
Now depending on state of "force instant quote retrieval" flag in
File->Database Settings->Configure
such quotes will be transfered to AB database immediatelly (even if no chart
is displayed) - when the flag
is turned ON,
or it will require to perform a scan or any other way to access symbols data
(for example by displaying the chart)
- when the flag is turned OFF.
Note that turning "force instant quote retrieval" ON may slightly increase
CPU usage.

William,
The code you sent me was compared to the code on the laptop with 4.70rc1 and
looked the same as standard. Would that be of difference?
So now am trying to duplicate the problem and guess what, 4.70rc1 does not
change the ma on zoom!
So I might try the upgrade but with the IB data plugin since day one the
real-time quote window with 23 correct symbols only about 1/2 update in real
time per day. Sometimes a stock will collect data for the day, then other
days (with real-time quote displayed) will not. Seems I have to display a
chart before AB will keep the data. I've noticed other people have posted
problems with IB data but no answers, have not sent this problem to support
because the first time I asked for support, did not get a very good answer.
Fortunately, Graham came through with an answer a while back so finally got
one problem solved.
So do other people have IB data collection problems?
Anyway thanks for your help, sometimes I think I can find bugs in any
software.

Jerry,
You could start cleanly again if you like, perhaps the best
way to go.
At the moment you have commented out most of the MA's using '//'.
So before you are able to access the style parameters for each of
those MA's you will have to remove the comment characters
i.e uncomment those lines.
Hope that is clear.
Was the problem with shifting MA's showing itself in the code I
sent you ?
