Vishal,

Thanks for your comments. Every now and then I'd like to jump in thes
type of debates, so please allow me. (By the way I'm a former TS
user).

You say "we" and "us", as if AB has a uniform usergroup. Even
among "traders" there are many different AB-users, 13 in a dozen. Let
alone users who are analysts, portfolio managers, or strategists.

The point is, AB has gone beyond its original birth place of
technical analysis. Its (open) architecture allows users to adjust AB
to their individual needs, and I'm not only talking about AFL-
programming. There are many excellent add-ons (PSO, for one), written
by an enthusiastic users, which I doubt would be developed, let alone
be freely available, for TS. I myself am using a prop XML-API feed to
donwload the complete Thomson Datastream database, i.e. I do not
limit myself to just the OHLCVOI-data. I can go on and on and on.

The various AB-groups on Yahoo can tell you why and how AB is applied
for such a large variety of uses. Multiply that by 10 and you get a
feel for how versatile, broad, and powerful it is. More than
anything, THIS REFLECTS TOMASZ' VISION. He is the filter (for noisy
requests) who signals the trend in these type of applications. And
thank God for that.

Comparing AB with TS/MS is perhaps useful for you, but a waste of
time for me and others. "We" have gone past that "station" a long
time ago.

Trade timely,

Patrick
