You might be surprised. I ran a little test and although I was using
Yahoo EOD and not realtime data, I had 8 separate instances of AB, one
copy of Excel, and one copy of FireFox running and they only consumed
a total of 402MB and steady state throughput was about 12% of a 1.4GHz
Athlon running XP Pro. It appeared each additional instance of AB was
only adding about 8MB to the memory required.

Bottom line IMO: AB is pretty "lean and mean" in  both processor and
memory utilization.

On the topic of multi monitor support, I have a Matrox card that
supports dual monitors. Charts have to go in my workspace but I can
stretch that across the monitors and vertically tile about as many
separate charts as I want. I can also float the Auto Analysis,
Commentary, and Formula Windows (from any instance) to any part of
either monitor.
