Registry "fixers" fit under the Farmer's
Rule, i.e: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Problem is, though they come with "undo"
features, you can create a problem you don't recognize for awhile down the line,
then your undo also undoes things you have added or changed, so you end up
spending time unnecessarily, reinstalling or whatever.
If you have a slow machine, you might end
up with a faster registry by getting rid of long unused relationships, but with
anything over say.. 1ghz, the time is insignificant, and the potential
problems can be time wasters as mentioned above. Most of the "problems"
are not. Any real problem you can and will fix other
ways.

Utilities: Registry Mechanic
Anyone with experience with Registry
Mechanic?
It finds 733 problems on my
PC, while Norton Utilities finds only 4.
Seems like they count problems differently ...
but several hundred problems seems a little absurd ...
Appreciate your feedback ... about Registry
Mechanic ... about Norton ... about your favorite
