A few thoughts - mostly around converting this to "real world"
trading.
1 - I'm not exactly sure how this works - but in your settings you
have "Allow same bar exit" checked ON. How does this work with your
(a) Exit Delay of 1 - is AB exiting at next day's open? since
you're using EOD data.
(b) Stop Loss/Profit Target - are these hit regularly? Will
you/do you always place Stoplimit orders to make sure you those will
be triggered? I've tried always having StopLimit's, but its kinda
time consuming to maintain them as an EOD trader/part-timer.
2 - It sounds like you're using the trough function? I think that's
based on teh ZigZag indicator, which looks into the future - which
means that today's signals could change dramatically (i.e.
dissappear) next week.
Hope this was what you were looking for, and that I didn't insult you
if this is how you wanted to setup your system.
One last note, I'm not sure about other people, but I've found it to
be *extremely* useful to review each month's trades, and go back to
make sure that the AB signals, continue to match up with what I did
during the month. Sometimes tinkering with your AFL can make you
follow phantom signals, which lead to pretty dissaastrous results.
(I know - this might be too basic for you all, but I made one pretty
crappy mistake this month)
Best Regards,
- chris
