"If would involve a lot more mouse cliking " I guess you mean the
hassle when you delete one by one in AMI. That is true, a lot and 3
more time mouse clickings.

No need to, you can do quicker. Here is the other way:

You set up an AA to scan for Sell= MA(V,50)<300000, run AA, add
selected Buy signal in a watch list called to_delete; export that list
then you have a text file, U can open it with excel to sort in
ascending alphabet, now on the otherhand the data base how to remove
those unwanted stocks. Here is the way, for eaxampole your data base
is call "too big", and is placed in the directory "program
files\amibroker\too_big" .
0. use AMI to open the too_big data base then save&exit every thing
amibroker etc. too not corrupt anything unwanted
1. use explorer go to too_big, delete the file broker.master
2. step back so you can search for all file in the too_big directory
3. reduce the size of the search window, open the file to_delete next
to it on the right side of the other
4. scroll down the search windows a bit you will see all the stocks of
your 7000 stocks data base are from type L,
5. highlight all the stocks the right-hand-sided text listing up to
you, don't forget pressing CTRL key for choosing more then one stock
6. delete all the L-typed file you don't want
7. after completing the delete procedure. Close search.
8. open AMI it will automatic open the last data base or the one set
in the preference, I assume that should be too_big .... wait a few
second for AMI to reload & build up the too_big data base MINUS what
ever you have delete.

Can you see already how quick it could revamp your too_big?

Hope it helps you get what you want.
