Hello,
Indicators reference PHYSICAL FILES on your hard disk using the PATH NAME
(you can check the path in "Parameters"->Axes & Grid -> File Path)
If you MOVE/DELETE physical file on the hard disk this reference (link)
is BROKEN because the file is NO LONGER in the path that AmiBroker looks for
- you get black chart.
Also the "CUSTOM" folder is REQUIRED because this is the location
where indicator files created via DRAG AND DROP operation are created.

actually WRITES A NEW FORMULA for you. And it needs to store somewhere
the resulting formula - AB stores such automatically written formulas in CUSTOM folder.
