An interesting FYI I saw in an industry mag.
About a dozen utilities are field testing a new technology called BPL,
which stands for Broadband over power lines. This will become a major
competitor for DSL and cable.
It supposed to be cheaper, about $27/month with no required long term
contract. The FCC is expected to finalize new regulations by the end of
this year.
