I was happy to find that AmiBroker allows you to iterate far more
combinations of parameters when optimizing than MetaStock's 32,000.
However, I went wild and set up a run with 950,000 combinations on
one issue only. It ran for 16 hours, and appeared to be fine until it
completed the last iteration. The results display went blank and the
program became "Not Responding". I had to kill it and lost my
results. Assuming the Results display buffer overflowed, I've been
searching to no avail to find a way to get it to only try to display
some small number of the top performing results, as in MetaStock. Is
this possible? If not, what must I do to make broad optimizing
searches? I'm willing to take the time.
