Hi Shawky
I would agree with Tomasz here. You should go direct to MarketCast and
raise this problem with them.
A couple of years ago, I was using MarketCast live data to trade the SPI
along with a different software package. I was of the belief, that the
problems experienced were associated with a new version of the trading
software. In the end, I walked away from the software and MarketCast.
MarketCast would swear that the problem was with the trading software and
the suppliers of this just did not care about the problem. This is not the
case with AmiBroker but as they are US based it is impossible for them to
pick up the feed which is delivered on the back of Channel O free to air TV.
Hence, they will have difficulty isolating the problem.
Having followed this email trail, I am of the view that MarketCast may have
the problem. At the very least, they will need to be part of the solution.
I have always found MarketCast to be very approachable and it was through
them that I was able to arrange for AmiBroker to interface with MarketCast
in the first place.
If you want more information by all means contact me as I was considering
using MarketCast again but would like to be sure that this problem has been
resolved before doing so.
All the best
Ken

Hello,
First please note that it is unfair to write a post that has a subject
of "no response from AmiBroker support" while you did receive
in fact three responses.
As for your problem, you may try this:
go to File->Database Settings and
change "Local database storage" to "DISABLED".
Third thing is that MarketCast plugin is extremely hard for us to
test because MarketCast is satellite-only feed that is available
only in Australia. For that reason we were only able to test
it on sample data (static) that we have received on the CD-ROM
from MarketCast. It was working just fine then.
MarketCast plugin uses MarketCast DATABASE API that is supposed
to handle ALL data issues. For that reason,
if you have data problems you should complain to MARKETCAST, not us.
MarketCast people have received long time ago a fully registered
version of AmiBroker along with the plugin and I asked them to
actually test but have heard nothing back about any problems.
I have also sent them full source codes of MarketCast plugin.
So as you can see I have done all that is only possible from my side.
The rest is in MARKETCAST hands.
Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko
