OK. To suggest that the default takes on the Main chart" preference
setting is obviously already obsolete. :-)
What would happen in the future if we change the attribute on one or
more of the indicators in your standard folders to "Read Only". I would
guess it would abort the installation process with an error.
My reason for mentioning this is your suggestion---I create my own
custom price indicator, which I want in the "Basic Chart" folder, but it
gets overwritten with each upgrade. Small point for sure, but what
would happen with a read only attribute on that one file???

Currently it always defaults to candle.
You can however create your own price formula that will default to line.
And.. of course you can suggest some other solution.
BTW: "main chart", "indicators" and "other indicators" preference pages
will be removed in future releases because setting parameters
is now entirely via new param system.
