Good explanation, Ara.
Points 2 and 3 could also however be new starting pivots. so the added
clutter could be a problem.
I'll have to look into this type of pitchfork and the warning line that
Joe mentioned, but automating inside and [modified] Schiff forks would
be of equal priority to me.

Since we can not send attachments, it's a little difficult to
illustrate,
but here's an attempt ...
1. First pick the 3 pivots and draw the pitcfork. Assume point 1 is the
start of the center leg.
2. Using the same 3 pivots,
- draw a line from pnt 1 to point 2 and a line from pnt 1 to pnt 3.
- From pnt 2, draw a line parallel to line 1-3
- From pnt 3, draw a line parallel to line 1-2
- Equidistant parallel lines may be added...
This is how it is done in Metastock ...
