One added comment. I do this all the time with any kind of editor. Just make sure the extension is unchanged. I also do 2 other things. First, I copy the original default file to something like defaultoriginal.format. Next, after I change the default format file, I copy it to defaultmy.format so that when I update AmiBroker via a new release I can again change the default to what I want with a simple copy and paste process. Otherwise, I have to again edit (and remember what I want to edit) the default.format file. Stated differently, AmiBroker over-writes the default each time I download.
