It needs IE to work.
Sorry forgot MyIE2 as this was replaced by the new maxthon.
Have used MyIE2 for quite a while now.
I get Brian Livingstons email newsletter which is based on using
microsft products tips tricks and problems. <font size=1

I hadn't heard of Maxthon, So I checked out the site <a
href="" eudora=autourl>www.maxthon.com
Your right - It is quite feature rich - There were zillions of buttons on
the initial screenshot. Though I didn't get the impression it was an
overlay to ie. More it was a seperate browser
- Based on the IE engine.
Though the following on their website caught my eye.....
Currently Maxthon is on Beta Stage. We do
not recommend novice user to use it, and do not recommend you remove MyIE2
before the release version of Maxthon is out.
I'll have to have a peek at Deepnet too! Thanks for the alternatives
to investigate.

I
tried firefox and other mozilla based explorers and find them fairly basic

I use Maxthon which is an overlay of IE, giving me a lot of the features I
want. Another newer addition I have found is Deepend which is also an overlay
of IE, but this reportedly fixes a lot of the security holes in IE. Deepnet
just has a lot of bugs atm, but I am keeping tabs on it for the near future.
Both have the popup filters.

All interested in FireFox WebBrowser
Just though I'd mention the FABULOUS ability to open "TABS" for
different windows.
(You can have TABS just like Amibroker, Excel etc. etc.)
This makes
browsing website with Lots of offshoot pages a dream!
Also - Just to clarify: FireFox is a seperate WebBrowser. It will NOT overwrite
or disable
your existing unsafe Internet Explorer. You can still load and use IE if you
wish.

The only issue I have had is the following error reported by Windows.....
<a
href=""
eudora=autourl>http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Clicking_on_a_Link_Shortcut_in_Windows_Displays_an_Error_(Firefox)
If whenever you click on a link shortcut in Windows and an error dialog of:
Windows can not find "<a
href="" eudora=autourl>http://.........". Make sure you typed
the name correctly,
and then try again. To search for a file, Click the start button then click
search.
To fix this, simply cut'n'past the following text into a file called
"DefaultBrowser.reg"
then double click the file - And the corrections should be written to your
registry.
