Hello,
Since it seems that YahooGroups are the target of some virus attacks here is a few points to watch for:
1. NEVER open .EXE or .COM attachments
2. NEVER belive in what you see in "FROM" field.
E-mail is unsecure medium and "FROM" field can be set to ANY VALUE.
=============================================
Real originator of the e-mail can be traced only by analysing headers.
For example posts from me to this list sent from amibroker at neo.pl address,
ALWAYS have a header that looks like this:
Received: from atw4.neoplus.adsl.tpnet.pl (HELO tj2) (83.27.4.4)
by n02.neo.pl with SMTP; 2 Aug 2004 09:15:51 -0000
They are always sent via n02.neo.pl SMTP server and always original computer
is in the .neoplus.adsl.tpnet.pl domain.
3. If in doubt, forward the message in question to supposed sender asking if it is from him
Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko
