Hi Geo

Thanks for the web sites, they make
interesting reading.

Although I have not traded extensively
short term, I tend to agree with you that standard indicators do not work well in
this time frame.   I am interested in playing around with some indicators
that have come via the AB user group.  I will let you know if I find any
that are of assistance.

Trading tick data is very much a matter of
staying focused on the charts and acting quickly that when you believe a trade
should be entered or exited with very tight stops.

Only time will tell whether this is a
market that I should trade.

Many thanks

Ken

Using RT Tick Data

In my opinion, indicators are too slow for scalping. I do
trade very short term. I only use price action, support/resistance lines, trend
channels and pivots. I trade emini futures - YM and ER2 and bonds. Occasionally
SP and NQ.

If you intend to trade futures, I recommend you visit <a
href="">http://www.nqoos.com and <a
href="">http://www.dacharts.org  for some
ideas. If you are happy with what you are doing, do more of the same. It takes
a lot of time, money and mental efforts to figure out what works for you. If
you have already done that, you are way ahead of most of the traders -
especially short term (daytraders and scalpers).
