I tend to agree with the embedding inside the message, if the response is
not at the top of the message I tend to skip it as I too get many emails to
scan through.
On the html issue, this has been round and round many times before without
any resolution.

I prefer HTML... it is easier to read with highlighted colors, underlined
hyperlinks embedded pictures, bold print, etc....... I do not see it as
"cutsey" or "CB" I see it as the natural evolution of the net. My computer
has more than 64 k of memory , a HD larger than 10 MB and yes, my email is
set to HTML

Thanks for the HTML tutorial. I understand what you are saying. BTW, you can
delete that annoying vertical line if you place your cursor on the line just
above the text to which you want to respond (assuming there's no vertical
line above that or in the line where your cursor is), then hit the delete
key once. Voila! The line is gone until you reach the next paragraph. Now,
you can respond in a different, cutesy color. But, you're right; the
cutesy-ness is really not needed.
