As an owner of Metastock and TradeSim,  Save your money and buy 
AmiBroker.  I initially purchased AmiBroker thinking I would 
continue to use Metastock/TradeSim.  I don't (I occasionally export 
some backtest to TradeSim from AmiBroker).  TradeSim is a great 
product, fills a lot of Metastock gaps but AmiBroker is better and 
improving all the time.  Support is second to none.  Buy Amibroker.
