Wow,
if that works that would be just great. i remember you adding those commands ...
but I haven't used them yet. The big question will be to find out at what time
eSignal has access to the official open price. I expect
that NASDAQ will need some time to have orders "settle", i can't imaging
them knowing it within milliseconds. In any case It should be much faster than
Yahoo :-) I be adding some code that will monitor the price for a change
tomorrow morning.

am forwarding your email to some trading partners; they'll be happy too
:-)

  Automatically retrieval of official Open priceImportance:
  High
  Herman,

  You don't need to do any tricks. Just use GetRTData("open")
  - this represents official daily open price (not calculated from
  intraday data but just official open sent directly by
  eSignal. This represents 09:30 time for US stock exchanges)
  Best regards,Tomasz

    <SPAN
    class=453553715-21032004>
    would anybody
    know how to automatically, from a RealTime Amibroker afl program and for use
    in a live RT system, retrieve the official Open price from a major financial
    website like Yahoo or BigCharts, i.e. at 09:45:00
    a.m.?
    <SPAN
    class=453553715-21032004>
    Because the
    official Open price is often not exactly the same as that read from RT data
    I am looking for a "15-min after the Open" confirmation of the Open
    price.
