Well,
Gary, i have a lot to learn, just subscribed to eSignal this week. Before I
could only do some limited tinkering. It is quite a job to
convert extensive EOD code to RT... all kinds of unexpected
problems pop up (my problems, not AB's), but nothing insurmountable so far. With
EOD you have the luxury of waiting a few minutes to let your code do its job,
not so in RT :-) time to clean up some code!

And
yes, AB is fast. One of my friends develops medical charting software, when he
saw AB he was amazed about the charting speed and was about to email TJ for
his secrets.

Response to streaming RT DataImportance: High
  Herman,

This is one of the wonderful things about AB imho.  Even on a
real-time, tick-by-tick update basis, it still is incredibly fast in providing
the info you've alluded to in your post below.

Several other packages I've worked with are horrendous at providing this
kind of info on a update every tick basis.

  Kind Regards,
  GaryTomasz Janeczko <amibroker@xxxxxx>

    Herman,

Yes the code is executed as many times as chart is
refreshed and may trigger signals for bar that is "building-up" (not
    complete).
    Best regards,Tomasz Janeczkoamibroker.com

      Subject: [amibroker] Response to
      streaming RT Data

      When i look at
the RT Minute chart in AB I can see the last bar "develop" as streaming
data comes in, when one minute has elapsed a new bar
      forms.

      I would like
to know whether, if I set a trigger level in afl, breach of this trigger
level can/is detected "before" the bar is completed, i.e. before the
      minute is up.
      <SPAN
      class=046522720-19032004>
      Would anybody
      know how this works?
      <SPAN
      class=046522720-19032004>
      I know we can
create a Tick DB, but that doesn't answer the
question.
