Herman,

I had signed up for the eSignal trial and didn't find the option to select
eSignal Basic . I was looking at a bill of over $200 CDN so I wasn't too happy
about that . This A.M I called eSignal and they now have me on the basic plan
for $88 . Does that fall in line with your arrangements with eSignal?

  Subject: RE: [amibroker] IB/AB data

  A
bit off topic... I recently requested an eSignal trial and found the
unrestricted (within the number of stocks limit) availability of RT data just
too nice not to have. I had forgotten the luxury of the on-demand RT data
that I enjoyed during my MetaStock days many years ago
:-) Anyway, I subscribed to eSignal Basic and now I can't
understand how I managed to work without it: backfill at any time
and better utilization of AmiBroker's capabilities. I previously used the
IB-DLL with TWS data, as well as Quotetracker, but while that served me up to
a point i am quickly getting spoiled with seeing RT data whenever I turn
  on my computer.

nothing comes without any hurdles to overcome in terms of programming and
system conversions, but to me it is worth the effort.

mean by API for access by other programs (AB), well, everybody is keeping
their fingers crossed :-) it certainly has been suggested to IB and i guess
eventually it will become available. Then, when the drain on their system
gets too much they will probably start charging for the servive.

      Herman,

Thanks for your reply . Has IB indicated that backfill feature might
be available in the near future?

          [amibroker] IB/AB data
          Hi,

I've just got myself setup with the Interactive Broker plugin for
          Amibroker.

IB doesn't provide a backfill feature. I think have that right.

So does this mean I will have to keep an IB/AB connection during
          each trading session?

What about futures, will I have to stay connected for 24 hours to
get all the data I want for charts or just normal trading hours.

          Thanks in advance.

          Greg
