ExamDiff
allows you to compare different version of your code visually. It is visual file
comparsion tool that also allows you start context as the file editor within. I
use it mainly when I have various versions of my systems and when I want to find
out exactly what changes were made. Hope that clarify
things.

  Bit confused paul. I use
context as it is with just the highlighter file to mimic the afl editor
colours and having context the default editor for afl
  files.
  What is the use of
  examdiff?

    I use
Context together with ExamDiff, ExamDiff is a freeware Visual "Unix Diff"
tool, it allows you to configure context as the editor for AFL files. You
    can download it from <A
    href="">http://www.prestosoft.com/ps.asp?page=edp_examdiff
    I
however havent been able to configure ExamDiff to load context with the
correct file. If anybody got it working, can you let me know.

I was just getting used to NoteTab Light as my editor, mainly
becauseof its file-compare utility. (It is also free, does regular
expressionsearches even across files; but it did not appear to be
able to do AFL colorcoding and is more for HTML than any other
language I think)And then Dave was kind enough to enable ConTEXT
to do the color coding...soI am trying that out. (It's also free,
claims to do the regular expressionsearches, but, so far I haven't
seen a file-compare utility)And now dingo enables AFL color
coding for TextPad...I used it a couple ofyears ago and liked it a
lot, but it was not free ($27 I believe) and when Iupgraded
computers and asked to move my license, they found no record of
mypurchase...So what editor do you all like and
        why?And will it do:    file
        comparing    regular-expression search/replace across
        files    AFL color
        coding?thanks-johnSend
