I am pretty sure it does not automatically update you HD data. You have to
do it manually. Some found that to get the manual copy of data to HD, they
had to delete old data on HD first.

When I installed 5.3 appeared to erase all of my HD data as a box popped up
and counted (I don't remember the words with the numbers sequencing).
