Unfortunately, I can't answer you CD drive motor question...I will say that
I my drives do the same and I think it is benign...my guess is that they
have to reach a certain RPM
Why do my speakers buzz only when I have Microsoft Word document visible on
my monitor and that document has visible section Breaks?
