True, but he is taking about one partition from a desktop, and one
from a laptop, I believe.  If they were networked, perhaps they could
be put into the same file.  If not, they would be two separate files.

You can mount an image, and use it even without restoring.  Any
program on the mounted image would work, although you might have to
play with registry settings.  But drag and drop would work for
restoring in this case.  It works perfectly; I've done it.

Yes.

Exactly what I do.  Xxcopy is the "flash" backup that makes sure all
your data is up to date and duplicated, in a few minutes or less.
Then TI does the partition work less frequently.
