All I *ever* download is historical. There is a volume mismatch on
the indices between current and historical, so I simply don't use it.
(And when I did use it in the beginning, I had the same problem
anyway.)
Believe me . . . it doesn't *disappear* in historical, it simply
returns NO DATA, again, and again, and again. Finally, I got it this
afternoon for 12/8 through 12/10. It was the first time I got either
^DJI or ^IXIC in about, oh, 20 attempts over 3 days.
Clearly, the experiences here by ANY individual cannot be duplicated
by another individual with ANY degree of confidence. The routes and
numbers of hops and connectivity vary too much. I doubt seriously
it's an AQ problem. I don't doubt for a heartbeat it's a Yahoo
problem. I also believe there is NO magic setting. It works when it
works; and the rest of the time it doesn't.
