I have
a dual system.  AB will not take adavantage of the dual processors.
However, you can run 2 copies of AB and achieve time savings.  BUT, you
cannot run 2 copies on the same machine if you are wanting use automation
via the OLE/Com interface as only the first copy will be controllable this
way.

If you
want to run 2 copies via automation then you should buy 2 machines and run a
copy on each.

If you
want to run only 1 copy of AB then you're better off having a single
processor.  If you want the ultimate in speed then you can buy systems that
are liquid cooled and are overclocked. If you want to know more about this send
me a private note.

Dual processor - will it help?I am considering buying
a dual-processor CPU system to help reduce the wait time for backtests
among other things. On tomshardware.com  (<A
  href="">http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/200203131/dual-10.html)
it says:"This comparison between the two workstation platforms from
AMD and Intel clearly shows that dual operation does not necessarily mean
increased speed for all applications. Rather, you need software that
has been specially adapted to multiprocessor operation, so that the
load is equally distributed between the two CPUs."Can anyone shed
some light on whether Amibroker is able to take full advantage of a
dual-processor system and perhaps reduce the wait time for
backtests/explorations considerably (ideally reduce it by 50%)
  ?ThanksgSend
