There is no contest between AB and TC2k if you want flexibility, control
over what you plot, ability to backtest to verify systems, draw all
sorts of things on all sorts of charts, on and on. I use TC2000 to
"feed" my eod data to AB.
I copied all items from the Tc2k CD to my hard drive (there is a
watchlist in TC2k called HD items).
Truly no comparison. Ab wins in every comparison criteria.
Not sure what to tell you about the Tc2000 plugin not showing up when
you open the databse settings box. Make sure the TC2k.dll is loaded or
copied into the Plugins folder, then click Tools>Plugins and make sure
you can see it in the list. Then try the Files>Database Settings again,
and see if it is not then listed in the drop down menu. If not, then
others will have to offer other suggestions.
