Ken,
Few facts:
1. You can not edit quotes in external data source using Quote Editor
2. If you use ASCII importer to import the data for symbol already
existing in your external data source then nothing will be imported.
3. If you import the data for symbols that are NOT present in the database, newly imported symbols are marked by ASCII importer as
"use only local database for this symbol" (See Information window for details), so they are EXCLUDED from the update via plugin.
This is useful if you want to import some other data (even not quote data) and access it via Foreign function while using your
external database.
(this is actually described in User's Guide: Tutorial: How to work with Real-Time data plugins, but actually
applies to all plugins, not only real time)
