DT: I know you are investigating various
other code constructions (plus your trading). I keep this message of yours
marked for followup as I am most interested in the shifted parallel trendline
alteration that you said is “the next step”. Not rushing you,
just do not want you to forget……
Thanks,
Ken

Subject: [amibroker] Trendlines of
the past
Y0, X0, Z0 were the previous peaks used to define the Resistance ORCL
trendlines.
Some fast changes occurred around point X0.
My 1st RECENT TRENDLINES graph does not remember anything. It is
devoted exclusively to the last pattern.
It is proper for explorations, backtesting or optimizations but its
memory is too bad.
My 2nd HISTORICAL TRENDLINES SEGMENTS give the Y0X0, X0Z0 segments but
not the interesting extensions.
The majority of interesting events occur after the definition of the
segment, the breakouts occur at the extension leg and, even if some code
trick permits to plot the extensions, the mess would be hard to handle.
The 3rd and the 4th graphs is exactly what I remember from this period.
The positive slope Y0X0 changed to negative X0Z0.
The shifting method allows analytic examination of the past behavior.
With a little practice you will recognize the same points X0, Y0, Z0 in
the 4 graphs.
This is the graphic part.

>The next step is the exploration of
the shifted lines.
