Thanks Graham,

I have tried that and ended up with double the number of tickers, one with
and one without the extension. I would then have to re-map the industries
and sector information and then delete the redundant tickers (the ones
without the extension) from the database.

Yes Amibroker does have facilities to edit stock information and mapping but
not in a batch mode, not that I'm aware of anyway.
It would be less time consuming to edit each ticker manually although it
would take a few + a few hours.

If I can find a way to change the tickers already in the database then the
mapped information will be retained and save a lot of time.
