I save the files and data on a daily basis to my second computer. I do this
through a backup program.
I save all the broker.* files, database and AFL files plus a couple of
others.

Thank you for the reply.
I did not save the layout through preferences. I built a layout with
price, macd, and buy and sell signals (plotShapes) on it and set it
as the default layout. I have used it successfully for the past 5
days, now it doesn't load, even when I try to manually open the
layout.
I ended up re-installing the application. I'll start from scratch
again.
Can you share the best backup strategy for AB so I can avoid this
frustration in the future?
